A brand identity for a culinary venture that merges personal heritage with a specific culinary specialty: the Tosai. The goal was to blend the owners’ initials (M & D) with a visual representation of the food itself.

The Icon
The letter ‘D’ is reimagined as a golden spiral, mimicking the texture and movement of a freshly spread tosai on a griddle.

The Style
Fluid, calligraphic lines suggest an artisanal, “hand-crafted” dining experience.

Color Palette
Spice Plum for sophistication and Turmeric Gold to evoke warmth and the rich colors of South Indian spices.

Typography
A classic serif typeface provides a premium, stable foundation to the organic monogram.
